Kent County Council is the largest shire authority in England. The external communications team is responsible for planning, developing and delivering a wide range of marketing and communications activities for the authority. The spend on print is currently 274 000 GBP 2015/16 (year to date). We are looking to update and improve efficiencies in the services’ ability to procure print on behalf of the Council. The Council is seeking to update its current Print and Media framework, and is inviting interested parties to tender for inclusion on the new framework. This framework will enable services to continue to buy printed materials in line with County Council’s focus on value for money (Facing The Challenge) and the growing need to become a commissioning authority. To further meet the demand the new framework will cover the purchasing of Digital and Litho Printing, Large Format Printing, Mailings and Merchandise. The contract is anticipated to commence upon Monday 5.5.2016 and will continue for a period of 24 months, with an option to extend for a period(s) of up to 12 months, unless terminated in accordance with the Conditions of Contract on the Kent Business Portal. There will be 3 Lots with a maximum of 8 suppliers on each lot. Lot 1 — Digital, Lithoprinting (stationery is bulk tendered within this lot) Lot 2 — Large format printing — display, exhibition and events Lot 3 — Merchandise There will also be a separate arrangement for Mailings services through a single supplier Lot.
