Description of the contract
The Department of Energy and Climate Change is committed to running its buildings and operations as sustainably as possible and particularly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from its estates and operations by 25% by 2014/15 compared to 2009/10. The Department is looking for a supplier or suppliers to undertake all the works associated with the supply and installation of kitchen ventilation heat recovery system at its headquarters building,3 Whitehall Place, London SW1A 2AW. This system would recycle wasted heat generated in the kitchen during hours of operation to pre-heat incoming fresh ventilation air to the neighbouring staff canteen through the installation of a run around coil. The purpose of this project is to warm the staff canteen in the most carbon efficient way and cut down on wasted heat.
