Health and social care organisations in Lancashire are looking to establish a close working relationship with an experienced and forward thinking technology partner to deliver the “Lancashire Patient Record Exchange” (L-PRES) project. This project will enable professionals’ providing care, secure legitimate access to patient records and other details, across organisational boundaries and systems. This information will need to be accessible through any device, system or portal.
This innovative project encompasses the exchange of clinical patient data, on demand, across the health and social care system. Initially, the project is Lancashire-wide; however, the solution must be capable of scaling-up to encompass a north-west wide footprint. The technology partner must be able to demonstrate appropriate expertise in this area and have been working on technology standards elsewhere in the NHS. Potential suppliers will have experience of integration between clinical systems and will be familiar with NHS information governance standards.
