County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust is the largest provider of integrated health services in the North East with over 1 000 000 patient contacts per year. Our 8 000 staff serve around 650 000 people across County Durham, Darlington, North Yorkshire, the Tees Valley and South Tyneside. The Trust provides acute hospital services at 2 main sites, Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham as well as planned care and community services from several community hospitals. The Trust is seeking a supplier(s) to provide laundry services to the Trust. Please note this currently does not include the University Hospital of North Durham. The requirements include the hire of flat linen (sheets, pillowcases, blankets and towels), and the collection and delivery of the linen and related supplies to and from various locations across the Trust’s estate. The service includes but is not limited to the laundering of the supplied linen and other general linen including curtains, patient clothing, scrub suits, patient gowns, nightwear and other related items.
