Laundry management services. Laundry operation services. Linen and Laundry Services for the House of Lords and House of Commons Catering & Retail Services (The Authority). The Authority is intending to appoint a single supplier to provide the Linen and Laundry Services.
Suppliers must be able:
— to provide a value for money laundry service for tableware and all uniforms both owned and hired,
— to provide a value for money dry cleaning service for Front of House and Back of House uniforms,
— to provide a value for money hire service for tableware Linen and Back of House Uniforms,
— to incorporate the current in-house bar-coding system for uniforms (House of Commons).
Suppliers must be able to deliver to Central London. The Authority operates an Offsite Consolidation Centre (OSCC) in NW10 where all deliveries must be made. The delivery window for this category currently is arrival at OSCC at 5:00 am. Delivery Times must be adhered to. Vehicle and Driver will undergo various security checks which they must be able to pass. The driver will be given a prescribed route to follow into Parliament.

The Authority requires a 48 hour turnaround collection and delivery service for the provision of clean and folded linen and dry cleaning of uniforms as described above. Suppliers must be able to deliver to pre set standards high quality finished Table Linen and Uniforms for Banqueting and other areas. The Suppliers must ensure value for money and fit for purpose, whilst maintaining the quality of the products and services. The Authority is looking to put in place a contract which consistently delivers a high quality service including finished articles, and offers improved innovation through processes and other aspects such as sustainability and effective category contract management.
