Northumbrian Water Limited (NWL) is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for the provision of Leakage Detection Services on its potable water distribution network in both the Northumbrian Water and Essex & Suffolk operating areas of NWL. The Framework Agreement will operate for a period of 3 years from 1.5.2013 with an option for NWL to extend by a further 2 years and 2 years. The value of services procured through this Framework Agreement is anticipated to be in the order of £1 million per year.

The scope of services included within the Framework Agreement are as follows:

Includes the provision of all leakage detection equipment and accredited personnel trained in its use, with a view to developing and introducing an electronic transfer of data which can be incorporated into NWL systems.
2. Unaccounted for water:
Identify distribution losses at DMA Level.
3. Innovation:
Assessing new/existing equipment & developing innovation in the delivery of leakage operations.

Description of these options: The duration of the framework is 3 years with options to extend for a further 2 plus 2 years dependent upon business needs, markets and performance and will be subject to regular reviews.
The Contracting Entity reserves the option to remove permanently or suspend any contractor at any time who falls below acceptable standards of performance in any respect.
