Devon County Council is currently considering the options for the future delivery of learner support services currently due to commence after the 31 March 2022.
The scope of the services is currently being developed but is likely to include but not be limited to:
• early years foundation stage
• multi-sensory impairment/Rehab Officers for Visual Impairment (ROVICs)
• SEN support and advice
• enabling
• social, emotional and mental health advisory teams
• educational psychologists
• school improvement
• quality/leadership/governance for schools
• teaching and learning
• moderation – statutory duties.
Commissioners are planning to hold engagement events to discuss and investigate the delivery options available.
The aim of these events will be to:
• gather information from the market to help appraise the options for future service delivery;
• discuss the current position and the known needs for future commissioning;
• hear from Devon County Council commissioning, service and procurement leads;
• meet up with other potential providers from different domains.
