Legal Advice for
The London Road Block Development, Camberley
Surrey Heath Borough Council are seeking expressions of interest from legal practices, to provide advice to support the appointment of a development partner for the council’s flagship regeneration scheme in Camberley town centre.
The redevelopment of the London Road Block is a key priority for the council and forms part of a strategy to enhance the range of town centre services, environment and promote further economic development in the area.
The site forms a key part of the implementation of the spatial strategy for the Town Centre Area Action Plan and provides the most appropriate opportunity to significantly improve the retail offer of the town centre.
The council is seeking to appoint a legal practice with extensive experience in
(1) The negotiation and delivery of Development Agreements for major town centre retail led schemes,
(2) The preparation of Compulsory Purchase Orders and
(3) Re-gearing headlease interests in shopping centres.
The advisor will be responsible, working closely with the council’s appointed commercial property advisor, and internal project team and will take a lead role in the legal negotiations during the contract stage.
