Partick Housing Association requires a suitably qualified legionella monitoring and maintenance company to carry out comprehensive on site risk assessments, tank inspections and remedial maintenance works.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
The appointed contractor must ensure that PHA is compliant within the realms of the Health and Safety Executives guideline publication “The approved code of practice L8 Legionnaires disease — the control of bacteria in water systems”. The works must also be in accordance with BS 8580.
Works required under the contract are water supply inspection, testing and treatment works including communal laundry areas and may include full tank cleaning or replacement and other maintenance works to ensure the Association’s properties are fully compliant with all current legislation.

The Contractor is required to be a member of the Legionella Control Association registered under the following categories:
— Legionella Risk Assessment Surveys;
— hot and cold water monitoring and inspection services;
— cleaning and disinfection services.
Operatives working on the contract must be trained to City and Guilds BS002-2004 or equivalent.
