Arun District Council is seeking an operator for its leisure facilities. The contract will include the following core facilities and services:
Arun Leisure Centre,
Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre,
Bersted Park Community Centre,
Windmill Theatre and Cinema,
Community/Sports Development Service.
The Council is currently undertaking a feasibility study into the replacement of Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre. The time-scales for the replacement are still to be confirmed; however, it is likely that it will be during the forthcoming contract term, so the successful bidder will be expected to manage the new centre when it opens. Further details will be provided during the tender process.
In addition, the Council is currently reviewing the options for the future of the Windmill Theatre and Cinema and this will be included in the contract as a provisional item at this stage. Further details will be provided during the tender process.
The contract will be for a period of 10 years with an option of a negotiated extension of up to 5 years.
The opportunity will be tendered via the Restricted route.
