Description of the contract

This contract is for the provision of one disabled access lifting platform including design, manufacture, delivery, storage, installation, commissioning, final testing, CE marking and twelve months defects liability period comprehensive maintenance all in accordance with the specification and code requirements. The contractor will work alongside the University’s main building contractor for the refurbishment and will have attendance from the main building contractor which will be detailed in the tender document. The Lift contract value is estimated to be approx £25,000 (inc VAT) – the project is being funded by ERDF monies The University’s programme envisages that the successful contractor will be on site 11th June 2012 with completion by 25th June 2012. The successful contractor will be selected after a two stage process – PQQs must be returned by Noon 23rd March 2012 – A maximum of 5 potential contractors will be invited to submit tenders
