The purpose of this Tender is to appoint a single contractor.
The works comprises of the provision and delivery of a comprehensive maintenance agreement on all lift installations, to include for the regular maintenance of each installation, attendance at breakdowns and all repairs required to the equipment which are as a result of normal operation. This will include all passenger lifts, goods lifts and platform lift installations.
The provision of an emergency, twenty-four hour, seven days per week call-out service to secure and make safe Council lifts is an essential and integral part of this work and is ‘of the essence’ as regards the award and performance of the contract.
The contractor’s representative must be on site within 30 minutes of notification for an entrapment and the contractor shall provide the Council with a contact name and telephone number for this purpose.
A select list of no more than 6 contractors will be established from which tenders will subsequently be invited.
