Lift Servicing and Repairs Tender – North Tyneside

North Tyneside Council have a portfolio of schools, residential and various public buildings in North Tyneside, comprising passenger lifts, platform lifts, stair lifts, chair lift, passenger hoist, goods only hoist and an escalator across the site. North Tyneside Council now seeks competitive tenders from lift contractors intending to award a framework contract with 3 suppliers appointed to the framework and structured as follows:- Lift Maintenance, Repairs and Servicing To appoint single contractor to undertake all maintenance, repairs and servicing in respect of all the vertical transport installations detailed in Appendix A of the specification within the Tender Pack. The Tenderer shall submit tender prices based on the following: A 3-year Contract whereby, the Contractor undertakes to carry out all and any Maintenance, Breakdowns or Repairs which may be or become necessary, including providing an emergency 24-hour call centre and a 24-hour Breakdown attendance service. Two repair and callout cover options are requested: – Full cover as described herein – Partial cover as described herein The Authority’s preference is for option 1 Full Cover, but final award will be determined based on tendered costs and budgetary considerations. Refurbishments – Annual Value £200K The local authority are currently reviewing all condition information for lifts with the intention to roll out a refurbishment programme at an indicative Value of £200K per annum under this contract. The successful contractor may be awarded at the discretion of the employer, refurbishment contracts up to a value of £50K (Per Lift or Building) over the set term period of the contract. On Appointment of the successful contractor, the contracts lead will discuss any Year 1 plans for refurbishments to enable possible quick mobilisation and installation. If the value exceeds £50k (Per Lift or Building) the Authority will issue a mini competition via the NEPO Portal to all 3 suppliers on the framework.

Tenderers must be a current registered member of the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA).
