Description

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue seek quotations for the supply and delivery of 28 sets of Vehicle Stabilisation System Equipment.

The equipment must allow operational firefighters to stabilise all type of cars, MPV’s minibuses and lorry cabins in any position and on any surface.

The equipment system must not obstruct the rescue of casualties and the vehicle must be prevented from moving once the vehicle has been stabilised.

The equipment must allow the swift and controlled stabilisation of vehicles and be safe for use by individuals. All supplied items must confirm to CE standards and be marked accordingly.

In meeting this specification, the design, construction and operation of any solution must adhere to appropriate requirements regarding compliance with legislation, regulations and standards, including Health and Safety at Work Legislation, Manual handling, PUWER and the Authority’s Equalities Policies.

The supplier must demonstrate how and to what performance their proposed solutions meet and exceed the applicable Standards, Regulations and Legislation.

The supplier must provide copies of relevant risk assessments, specification documents and certificates of conformity.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue will be responsible for carrying out their own internal risk assessment for operational deployment.

LFR will be responsible for stowage and mobilisation procedures.

The Supplier may also wish to advise LFR if the equipment provided can be adapted to fulfil any perceived future rolls.

The supplier will be required to provide Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue with familiarisation in reference of how to use the equipment.

Detailed Requirements:

28 x Individual Stabilisation System Packs must include:

1 Stabiliser struts with green strap
1 Stabiliser struts with yellow strap
1 x Hook Blade
1 x Adjustable Metal Wedge
1 x Bag

Stabiliser Strut

• Collapsed Length: 107cm
• Extended Length: 172cm
• Weight Stabiliser Strut: 9,5kg
• Maximum load in longitudinal direction of strut: 15kN

Straps

• Length of red and green strap 500cm
• Maximum load: 50kN

Hook

• Maximum load of hook 25kN

Size bag 1.100 x 300 x 120mm

All items will require an appropriate label to enable track and trace systems to operate.
