Description of the contract

Expressions of Interest (EofI) are sought for a 3 year contract (with an option for an additional 12 months, or any part thereof) in support of the training of Casualty Notification Officers and Visiting Officers (CNO and VO) who provide support to bereaved Army families, the provision of advice in the structure and content of the delivered courses, and in the mentoring and decompression of those working in emotionally stressful jobs in the casualty area. The potential contractor will be required to undertake 4 specific tasks: Acting as listener and counsellor on planned ‘Caring for the Carer ‘ courses and ‘VO Debriefing/Decompression ‘ courses Instructing on ‘Visiting Officer Training ‘ courses (35 students) when an Army chaplain is not available Monitoring, reviewing and validating CNO and VO training courses Provision of advice to casualty staff on loss & bereavement and on the provision of support to bereaved families, as required The potential contractor will be required to deliver training or support to military Garrisons, including (but not limited to) UK, Germany and Cyprus. This requirement is not suitable for ‘lots’, the winning provider will be required to support all the tasks under this requirement.
