Birmingham City University requires a Main Contractor (The Supplier) to design, procure, construct, commission and handover to the University a new facility located within the University’s City Centre Campus in Birmingham City Centre. The Plot 2A project will consist of approximately 10 000 m2(GIA) new build which is to be completed in time for occupation and full use by September 2017.
The Scope of Works may include:
— Enabling works including site clearance, stat’s diversions, strip out of existing systems
— Design / procurement and construction
— Fit-out (although some specialist fit-out and equipment installation may be carried out by the University)
— Specialist migration
— External Works and landscaping
— Soft Landings
Other activities which may remain outside the scope of the Main contractor:
The migration of existing legacy FF&E and staff to the new development may be carried out by a specialist company and may be outside the scope of the main contract. This will be confirmed as the project progresses.
