Construction work. Construction work for university buildings. Electrical engineering installation works. Mechanical engineering installation works. Building alteration work. The work is required to support the estate of the University of Liverpool and will include but not limited to building refurbishment (internal/external) adaptations, modifications, new build, upgrade of existing facilities including mechanical and electrical installations. The work will be carried out across a wide range of building types from late 19th century to present and may include teaching, research, laboratory, administration, student accommodation, library accommodation which is located on the city campus or at the university’s outlying sites. Framework agreement for construction work values excluding VAT from half a million to five million GBP on a non-exclusive basis.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement,and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.Organisations are asked to complete the pre-qualification questionnaire and to read the briefing paper which outlines how the frameworks will operate once they have been set up. The pre qualification questionnaire is available from the website detailed within this notice. It is the University’s intention to appoint a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 8 companies to the framework panel. To be short listed organisations must be able to demonstrate:
i) they have a proven track record of consistently delivering high volume, high quality projects, to budget and tight timescales,
ii) the ability to deliver projects across the University’s building portfolio which will include but not limited to late 19th century to present and may include teaching, research, laboratory, office, administration student accommodation, library accommodation which is located on the city campus or at the university’s outlying sites,
