The University of Leeds is seeking a skilled, knowledgeable and experienced contractor to carry out the service, repair and maintenance of the fire alarm and emergency lighting systems. The University operates a number of systems; for fire detection and fire alarm systems (Conventional and Analogue Addressable); Gent, Honeywell, Protec and Menvier, the majority are Gent analogue addressable systems, for emergency lighting systems; central systems(including Static inverters) and self-contained; Thorlux, Emergi-Lite Cooper Lighting and Security including testing systems, the majority of which are Thorlux. Currently several companies provide the maintenance of these systems. This contract aims to consolidate service delivery.
The contractor will be responsible for the day to day planned maintenance and statutory testing of the fire alarm and emergency lighting systems in our residential properties portfolio as well as several key academic building fire alarm systems. It is also expected that the contractor will provide an emergency reactive service. The contractor shall be expected complete and maintain the universities log book record system and ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the relevant current standard.
In addition the contractor should be able to provide a technical support service for the University’s key systems.
