For clarity this service includes the internal and external public and communal areas of the acute sites only and does not include the main clinical and patient areas; this service is delivered in-house. The service does however include a full night time cleaning service to the newly built Cancer Centre on the Guy’s Hospital site. The service also includes the provision of ad-hoc cleaning services to include post building cleans following capital upgrade works and post infection cleans and deep cleaning services.
Additionally, the Trust requires the Contractor to supply all equipment, materials and consumables necessary to carry out the service to the required standard and be responsible for their distribution around the relevant sites. This includes the supply of microfibre cloths and mops required for the delivery of the Trust’s Microfibre Laundry Service. Furthermore, the successful supplier will be required to provide a managed laundry and distribution service of the microfibre cloths and mops to support all of the Trust’s cleaning operations from the Trust’s laundry facilities (based at St Thomas’ Hospital).
