Provision of managed internet/broadband services for student residences, to include a base broadband service running at 10Mbps (with options to upgrade to increased speed), with no download/upload limitations. This will comprise a wireless service into all study rooms (1000+) and communal areas.
A dedicated web portal must be available for students to access, to register and manage their account. The portal must be capable of carrying University branding and bespoke messages, and offer an alternative ‘out-of-term’ front-end.
Support must be provided onsite for the initial set-up and connection. Thereafter, a dedicated support service must be available throughout the year, covering core hours. Online payment options must be available to students who might wish to upgrade individually from the baseline service.
All network equipment must be fully serviced, maintained and replaced as required. The network itself will require 24/7 monitoring to ensure continual connectivity, and service delivery will be measured against agreed SLAs and KPIs.
