The Service Provider will be required to recognise that for the duration of the contract legal changes may arise from on-going Employment reform resulting in changes to organisational processes. The Service Provider must accommodate these changes.
In addition to day to day core ICT activities, the Service Provider will also be expected to undertake upgrade projects, including component hardware platforms and Operating System (OS) environments comprising replacement of the organisation’s ICMS. Further details of these specific projects are included in section 8.0 of this specification.
The LRA, being a Non Departmental Public Body (NDPB), is required to be able to demonstrate value for money at all times and any Service Provider submitting a proposal must be able to demonstrate clear and transparent breakdowns of costs.
The Agency’s vision for its IT infrastructure is to bring all outdated services up to date, increase the integrity of its data, increase the capabilities of its Management Information provision, to standardise its IT procurement and to maintain a robust and resilient operational platform whilst laying the foundation for future services.
The LRA requires continuity of its IT Managed Service to support the networked IT Services infrastructure and provide a resilient dual site network and server platform upon which critical line-of-business applications can be delivered. The appointed Service Provider will be expected to provide an ICT Managed Service encompassing both proactive and predictive system administration and support, and reactive maintenance to ensure maximum system availability and performance.
The Service Provider will be required to propose cost-effective solutions which are configured to reduce LRA floor print/footprint as much as possible.
