NHS Ayrshire and Arran have a requirement for a Managed Laboratory service including but not limited to Biochemistry, Haemotology and Microbiology. There will be a transfer of risk from the Board to the successful supplier which will include but not be limited to guaranteed systems availability, performance standards and quality of service delivery.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all economic operators that respond within the time limit set out at section IV.3.4 detailing the requirements and information to be provided in relation to the economic and financial capacity of economic operators.

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: The economic operators who have the top 5 scores after evaluation of their responses to the pre-qualification questionnaire issued in accordance with section III.2 will be invited to tender unless two or more economic operators score the same fifth highest score in which event all such economic operators will be invited to tender.
