United Utilities wishes to award a framework for an initial period of 3 years with options to extend up to 7 years in total.

A fully managed print service which includes:
1. A wide range of mono and colour devices and ancillaries to suit different end user requirements through purchase or lease financing options;
2. SMFP (Smart Multi Functional Products) applications that does not commit UU to one device or vendor;
3. Optimisation of new and existing printing devices (including devices that UU own and it does not currently supply / manufacture);
4. Proactive preventive maintenance and repair for all printing devices across large, centralised sites and small, distributed offices while ensuring maximum availability;
5. Management information through an online portal;
6. Itemised billing and payment integration with SAP;
7. Upscaling and downscaling flexibility for device optimisation;
8. Help desk and proactive training support;
9. Supplies management in appropriate timely manner;
10. Data security;
11. Secure print management and control software (print rules);
12. Proactive end user satisfaction tracking and continuous improvement plans;
13. Proactive engagement using the applicants expertise to help UU set goals for cost savings and service improvements;
14. Page volume reduction consulting services to help identify and exploit opportunities to reduce unneeded print jobs and wasteful use of colour printing;
15. Project planning for transition to a managed print service.
