Description of the contract

To manage and co-ordinate a programme of social inclusion in the Borough of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk. The contract will cover two consecutive annual programmes, each providing places for 12 unemployed people. Each programme will operate on one day per week for 47 weeks and will include training in Health & Safety, Event Management, Local History & Heritage, Information Technology, and the French language. It will also include a visit to our partners in this EU Funded project in Amiens, France and a reciprocal visit by the French programme, as well as work experience with the Council’s gardens and grounds maintenance teams and assistance with job applications and interview skills. Candidate organisations must tender for the management & co-ordination but they also have the opportunity to tender for some of the training programmes.
