Description
The purpose of this advert is to investigate the market to assess the level of interest in providing a Community Infection Prevention and Control (CIPC) service in Leicestershire and Rutland. We are testing the service from across the whole of LLR (I.e. also on behalf of Leicester City and Rutland). The Directorate of Public Health is currently assessing the delivery options for CIPC. The information received from interested parties will be used to inform the options appraisal with regard to future provision of the serivce. The Councils are assessing the possibility of employing an organisation or organisations that will bring flexibility, innovation and creativity to the Community Infection Prevention and Control assurance functions across the sub region. This would be in order to ensure that local authority contracted services (e.g. care homes and domicillary care services) have robust community infection prevention and control policies and procedures in place and that these are reflected in contractural expectations.
Through issuing this advert, Leicestershire County Council is seeking feedback from the market on the possibility of tendering its CIPC service in Leicestershire and Rutland. Any organisation interested in participating in this market testing exercise should download the attached questionnaire form and return their responses by 14th November 2014.
Interested parties should note that the County Council may seek further clarification and/or hold discussions with organisations who respond via the questionnaire.
Please note, the County Council intend to use the information gathered to inform the options appraisal with regard to future tendering of the service. Participating in this exercise will not affect any party positively or negatively during any eventual procurement process and the County Council reserves the right not to proceed with any procurement process. Interested parties are further advised that any information submitted during the market sounding exercise will not form part of any eventual procurement process and that a failure to respond to this notice will not preclude them from responding to any future contract notice. The County Council will not meet any costs incured by any party in responding to this notice. All responses will be treated as confidential.
