Improve the marketing and promotion of buses in York with the aim of generating bus patronage growth in the city. This will be done by raising awareness and improving the image of services.
The specific objectives of the marketing are to:
– produce a series of tailored messages regarding the bus service and the advantages of using it (the WHY a customer should use public transport)
– raise awareness of the network and what is available (the HOW TO use it information)
– promote the positive improvements being made to the bus infrastructure and network ( as part of other elements of the BBAF)

Lot No: 3 Lot title: Promoting bus use alongside all sustainable transport modes, as part of a coordinated approach to travel and an alternative to the car

To organise a campaign promoting bus use, alongside the use of all sustainable transport modes as part of a suite of alternatives to the car. This would be done by coordinating with the current work done at CYC to promote sustainable transport (i-travel York and other LSTF work).
