II.2.1)Total quantity or scope:
Network Rail wishes to procure the services of a Service Provider for the supply of media technology within two number media eyes at the redevelopment of Birmingham New Street Station and Grand Central Shopping Centre. The Services Provider, working with Network Rail, will be responsible for carrying out the works in accordance with the relevant Network Rail standards.
1. Design, supply, installation, operation, commissioning and maintenance of information and visual technology to be integrated into two number media eyes within the new stainless steel
façade. Scope includes all hardware and software, ancillary equipment and outstation capable of operating the technology. Scope shall include all temporary links to accommodate phasing of the works and interfaces with other services.
2. Work will be carried out over a two year period with permanent works installed alongside phased works activities, so that the station remains operational at all times.
3. The project is targeting BREEAM Very Good and as such, information to achieve this will need to be provided.
4. Contractors are expected to provide all temporary works necessary for the safe installation of services.
5. Ensure that the works are carried out in line with Network Rail standards and expectations, and that all operations exceed the relevant Health & Safety legislation The new installation which is the subject of this notice must be able to be integrated with Birmingham New Street and Grand Central Shopping Centre.
