2.1 Title

15-0031 Service for Mental Health Peer Support

2.2 Description of the goods or services required

This tender seeks to appoint an organisation to deliver a Peer Support Service across the Mental Health sector in Moray. The service will be provided across the multi-disciplinary teams (NHS/LA) and shared between the operational split of East and West of Moray whilst simultaneously being linked to the hospital/ward, primary care environments in addition to the community.

This new service will be for an initial period of twelve months with two further twelve month periods dependant on performance outcomes of the contract. The service will commence April 2016.

The provider will be responsible for the recruitment, management, training and development of sufficient (2-4) peer support workers to meet the support demands of Moray’s mental health service users. It is anticipated that the peer support workers would be in post no later than 1 August 2016. There are currently approximately 300 registered service users that are known to Community Care but not all of those people access services all the time.
