How to apply

NHS Camden CCG is keen to test the potential provider market for delivering mental health peer support training. We are keen for the chosen provider to be able to do the following: • Train at least 38 volunteer peer mentors in the Camden area • Deliver training that is accredited by a relevant body • Provide training that is at least in part delivered by those with lived mental health experience • Ensure that relevant areas to peer mentoring are covered within the training, such as confidentiality and safeguarding • Provide regular updates on attendance and numbers trained • Provide refreshments and lunch for each training date The provider organisation must have the capacity, skills and expertise to manage and deliver mental health peer support training within the London Borough of Camden. It is anticipated that the chosen provider will be responsible for: • The coordination and administration of the training including locating and booking training venue and follow up with course delegates • Ensuring that all delegates are aware of the expectations and requirements of the course • Delivering course content relevant to volunteer peer support workers • Ensuring quality assurance through implementing effective monitoring and evaluation processes • Providing delegates with support throughout the training course Providers must be able to mobilise quickly with all capacity in place by no later than February 2015. Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the CCG’s decision making process. This does not commit the CCG to a carry out a procurement process. If a procurement exercise is subsequently undertaken, a shortlist of economic operators will be compiled and invited to submit bids for the project.
