Leicestershire County Council wish to procure a mentoring programme for Looked After Children in Leicestershire.
The Education of Children in Care Service (ECIC) is seeking provision of a mentoring scheme for teenage children who are in care. The aim of the scheme is to increase confidence and encourage positive engagement and attitudes towards education , leading to improved attendance and attainment in current education (school/college) and also in pursuing some form of further education.
It is envisaged that the provider will also offer a range of group activities across the period of the contract to foster opportunities for talking and thinking together. It is anticipated that students will benefit from exposure to an innovative and interactive learning culture and environment.
