Nottingham City Council invites tender submissions from experienced support providers who can deliver the following service:
The service will deliver early identification, prevention and focused intervention for children and young people who go missing from home, or who are at risk of going missing from home within the City of Nottingham. The service is for those who are not in contact with a targeted service within Nottingham City Council Family and Community Teams and / or a current open case to Children’s Social Care.
The Missing Children’s Service will be an independent support service for children and young people who have run away from home or are at risk of running and will deliver the statutory requirements on behalf of Nottingham City Council.
The service will:
• Offer a return interview to all missing children or young people who are not in contact with a targeted service or a current open case to children’s social care;
• Provide a return interview within 72 hours of the child or young person returning;
• Where appropriate and eligible undertake a full CAF assessment of the child’s needs and risk factors to inform an opinion as to the likelihood of repeat missing episodes within 30 working days;
