Instructions to suppliers

Providers are sought for:

The demonstration of digital technologies (and associated system support) that can support mobile working for Social Workers. The outcome from this Pilot may lead to a further Pilot Project within Children Services that would explore the benefits to be achieved from increased mobile working amongst Social Workers.

The sorts of technologies that could be considered include (but are not limited to); digital pens, Notebooks, PDAs, Tablets, digital voice recorders, iPads….

Providers are asked to be able to:

Demonstrate

• Operation and capability of the technology (allowing “hands-on” trial)

• Application both for remote access (aspects such as blue tooth/wireless, iclouds) and office based upload (such as cradle operated systems)

• Applications from form filling and note taking to workflow management

Explain

• Requirements to operate system effectively particularly for remote access, and what is provided externally and what is needed “in-house”

• How data security can be ensured, and how the product can support aspects such as lone working, work flow management.

• Extent to which applications and system can be adapted by client to meet specific needs

• Training Requirements

Provide

• Outline cost structure for all aspects of demonstrated system (including, but not limited to: the particular technology, pens, associated hardware (blackberries or similar, servers etc) all software, licencing, any other required materials (eg special paper) or system requirements, system implementation and support,

• System Specifications

• Client/reference list

• Response to Invitation by 16.00 Friday 27th July 2012

• Selected providers to give demonstrations in the week 6th August 2012 at Anglesey Council Offices, Llangefni, Anglesey
