Middlesbrough Council is seeking suitably qualified Candidates to bid for the provision of monitoring their CCTV cameras. The Council has responsibility for providing an effective CCTV service which plays an important part in reducing crime and reducing the fear of crime and which contributes to the vitality of our Town Centres by encouraging people to visit places that feel safe.

Middlesbrough Council own and operate a CCTV control facility which receives closed circuit video, via fibre optic cable, from 177 cameras spread throughout the Borough of Middlesbrough. There are a further 40 cameras connected to the facility via broadband links.
