3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Criteria Minimum Standards / Criteria To Be Evidenced –

Site Inspection:

Tender submissions to include a statement confirming that the tenderer has undertaken a site visit to inspect the site.

Completeness of Submission:

Tender Submissions must be sufficiently complete to enable a full and detailed evaluation of all components of the bid to be undertaken.

Adequate Insurance Provision:

Tenderers must evidence the under-noted insurance provision being in place or provide confirmation that, in the event of success in the tender process, the under-noted insurance provision will be put in place:

Employers Liability – £10M;

Third Party/Product Insurance to a minimum indemnity of £1M;

Motor Vehicle Insurance and insurance for plated plant to be held to a minimum Third Party Liability indemnity of £5M;

Suitable Health & Safety policies & practices:

Tenderers must evidence robust health and safety policies and processes in operation. Tenderers will also be required to provide their up to date Health & Safety Policy.

Experience and Track Record:

Tenderers must evidence relevant and appropriate organisational experience in relation to fulfilling the requirements of the Contract by providing case studies with colour photographs of three similar projects delivered by the organisation.

Construction Skills Certification Scheme:

Tenderers must evidence their participation in the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (or equivalent).

Additional Information

This contract is one element of the Moss o’ Balloch regeneration project, the other element being the creation of a natural play area which may be undertaken at the same time or overlap with this contract. The project is being undertaken by a partnership of organisations with the lead partner being West Dunbartonshire Environment Trust operating locally as ‘The Environment Trust’.

The project is being funded by Forth Valley & Lomond Leader, West Dunbartonshire Council & West Dunbartonshire Environment Trust.
