These works will be undertaken primarily on Anglia, Kent, Susssex and Wessex routes, however may also be extended to other parts of the UK Rail Network. The works will require the potential to provide design for the works. The contract shall be divided into 4 lots, one for each of the 4 routes noted. Network Rail will retain the option to extend the contract by a period of upto 12 months.

Description of particular conditions: Selection of contractors to be invited to tender for the contract will be based on information provided in response to a pre-qualification questionnaire which will be issued to all contractors who express an interest in submitting a response to the pre-qualification exercise. Particular conditions to be set out by the Draft Contract Document.

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if the requirements are met: Selection of contractors to be invited to tender for the contract will be based on information provided in the response to the pre-qualification exercise. Applicants must have extensive experience of delivering railway multifunctional activity involving the design and construction of railway construction works and of working in an operational railway environment. As part of the pre-qualification process non “Link Up” qualified applicants will be asked to confirm, amongst other criteria, that they hold a Network Rail Principal Contractors Licence.
