Ideally a single supplier would be appointed for all areas of the tender process. This may include the successful supplier subcontracting out various areas of the tender. However if it is not possible to select a single supplier then the Museum of Zoology may appoint separate suppliers for some of the areas listed above.
Refurbishment of Existing cases.
The museum has a number of existing display cases which will have received new glass and basic refurbishment as part of the capital works. This tender is for the strip out of existing dressing panels, for supplying and installing new powder coated steel dressing panels, display lighting, interpretive graphics, interactives and AV hardware.
Supply and Installation of New Display Cases, Exploration Stations and Plinths.
The museum’s Design and Interpretation team have developed designs for a number of new display cases, exploration stations and plinths. This tender is for the supply and installation of new cases, exploration stations and plinths, to include dressing panels, showcase units, display lighting, interpretive graphics, AV hardware and object supports.
Signage.
This tender is for the supply and installation of new signage for the museum which includes welcome graphics, orientation signage, vinyl lettering and directional signage.
Seating and Information Point.
This tender is for the supply and installation of seating areas within the Museum. Information point structure and Information point graphics will also be required which match the style of the exploration stations.
Audio Visuals.
This tender is for the supply and installation of hardware and cabinetry for projectors, AV presentations within walls, in display cases and on exploration stations. An access interpretation point and housing structure will also be required.
