Description of the contract

Woodlands Service is a small enterprise with two members of staff, planning to manage 14 woodland sites spinning out of Wycombe District Council by 31 March 2013. Woodlands Service plans to promote biodiversity, to reduce liabilities to neighbouring property, and to enhance their appeal to and use by the local population to enjoy for recreation and environmental education. The Council are fully supportive of the proposed spin-out and the Woodlands Service have a five year funding agreement with the Council, which was agreed in June 2012 to ensure spin out is achieved no later than 31 March 2013. Woodlands Service will continue to work closely with the Council throughout the process to spin the service out and have already developed a project plan and a range of documentation to track the progress and ensure deadlines are met. The primary objective is to enable Woodlands Service to develop a robust business plan to identify growth areas, and to adopt a legal structure and governance model that meet their needs. A Supplier will be appointed to deliver services to the Potential PSM in the following areas: 1. Business Planning and Business Development 2. Governance Structure 3. Taxation Advice
