UK NARIC is the UKs National Agency responsible for providing information, advice and expert opinion on vocational, academic and professional qualifications from over 180 countries worldwide. NARIC provides the sole official source of information on international education and training systems and wide-ranging international qualifications and skills attained from outside the UK, and does so on behalf of a variety of clients, individuals with overseas qualifications / skills, Government departments both in the UK and internationally for academic institutions, professional/regulatory bodies, and commercial companies.
Provision of the contract is delivered on a selffinancing basis, the cost of delivery is covered by charging service users.
The current contract for the provision of this service expires in December 2013. The UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is commencing a process of open competition to award the contract for the provision of NARIC for 2014-2020.
