National Grid is undertaking a programme of work to evolve the monitoring and control and management of CNI systems. These systems monitor, provide physical control and support commercial management of systems and enables National Grid to meet regulatory obligations and National Grids Safety Case.
Any new solutions will be required to deliver efficient, scalable architecture and systems which are easy to modify to meet changing requirements, regulatory changes and are cost effective to maintain.
National Grid are seeking to source the solutions to refresh / replace the existing systems and to provide services which may include design, build, development, configuration, migration, implementation and maintenance of the new solutions.

National Grid is seeking to implement Global Framework Agreements with providers for solutions to refresh / replace the existing systems and to provide services across the following Lots:
Lor 1: Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
A solution to provide a real time, high availability system to provide monitoring and control of CNI Gas control systems. Services required may include design, build, integrate, transition, configure, implement, maintain and provide support for the solution.
Lot 2: Data Historian
A solution to provide a repository of high performance time-series data and historical information. It will provide an analytic capability to generate information for fast, accurate and performance based decision-making. Services required may include design, build, integrate, transition, configure, implement, maintain and provide support for the solution.
Lot 3: System Integrator
Services to include: System Integration, management, design, build, development, configuration, migration, implementation and maintenance of the new solutions. These may be all or in part provided either by a System Integrator or by the solution provider(s) in the other Lots.
National Grid assumes the System Integrator will provide management of the delivery and implementation of lot 1 and/or lot 2.
Please Note: National Grid assumes one Framework will be awarded per lot.
National Grid reserves the right at its absolute discretion to exercise contractual options to extend beyond a 60 month initial term to incorporate support and maintenance for lots 1 and 2.
The estimated value ranges detailed below shall be split across the following lots:
Lot 1: 1.5m to 6m
Lot 2: 1m to 5m
Lot 3: 0.5m to 4m

Expressions of interest to this Notice are to be made by e-mail to the named contact as per the details provided in Section 1.1. by the deadline set on this Notice. Please insert the WS reference number in the header of the e-mail as detailed in section IV.3.1.
Respondents will be required to complete Confidentiality Agreement, prior to access of the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ). The deadline for receipt of completed Confidentiality Agreement must be prior to the release of the PQQ.
The PQQ will be issued via Ariba within 4 weeks after the closing date of this Notice and instructions regarding completion of the PQQ and the PQQ response date will be clearly specified in the PQQ documentation.
In order to obtain a PQQ, applicants must be registered on the National Grid Ariba system. Full details will be provided regarding registration instructions for Ariba to those who have completed and returned the Confidentiality Agreement.
National Grid will reject any applicant who is deemed ineligible to tender for or be awarded a public contract based upon the grounds set out in Regulation 26 (1) of the Utilities Contract Regulations 2006.
National Grid may reject any applicant who fails to provide audited accounts. National Grid will reject any applicant who fails to provide satisfactory evidence that it is capable of performing a contract on the scale of this procurement process.
Following evaluation of the PQQ, National Grid will issue the Request for Proposal (RFP). All documentation will be managed via Ariba.
