Description of the contract

Dental Extraction under General Anaesthesia Invitation to Tender for the Provision of Dental Extraction under General Anaesthesia for children and urgent extraction service for adults with additional needs. NHS Hull and NHS East Riding of Yorkshire invites tenders from all suitably qualified and experienced healthcare providers to provide the Dental Extraction under General Anaesthesia for Children and urgent extraction service for Adults with additional needs. The Service sought is as follows: a) Tooth extraction under general anaesthesia for children (under 16 years) where their care cannot be managed by their General Dental Practitioner (GDP). b) Urgent extraction under general anaesthesia for adults with additional needs (aged 16 years and over). c) For patients who are either registered with a NHS Hull or NHS East Riding of Yorkshire contracted General Medical Practitioner (GP) or not registered with a GP but living within the NHS Hull and NHS East Riding of Yorkshire boundaries. d) The service to be provided at a location convenient in terms of access for patients residing within Hull and East Yorkshire. NHS Hull and NHS East Riding of Yorkshire require applications from bidders who are able to: a) Provide high quality treatment and advice in line with recognised clinical standards and best practice. b) Achieve high levels of patient satisfaction. c) Ensure patients are kept well informed and fully involved in their care. d) Ensure patients receive the most appropriate care in the appropriate setting for their needs. e) Complete the patient’s treatment pathway within 20 working days of referral from the Community Dental Service (60 days from referral into the Community Dental Service).
