The Council is seeking applications from suitable organisations for the design and build, up to final construction, commissioning and handover of new primary school accommodation. Indicative drawings have been produced and will be provided within the pre-qualifying questionnaire pack. The works will include all landscaping work and access roads to the schools except that which has already been provided under previous planning approval.
The Council is proposing to relocate two Voluntary Aided Primary schools (one Church of England, one Roman Catholic) from their current locations on separate sites, to a single, new build facility on Goathland Avenue, Longbenton, North Tyneside.
The schools will retain their own identity and remain 2 distinct and separate establishments as far as registration, faith and ethos is concerned. However, the proposal is for both schools to share a common building.

2) Applicants wishing to register their interest against this opportunity and receive the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) should go to the web site located at www.nepoportal.orgSelect North Tyneside Council and enter Contract ID QTLE-8NVM4D. PQQ’s are to be requested before noon on 9.2.2012 and completed PQQ’s are to be returned by the deadline of before noon on 14.2.2012 via the electronic system on the above portal. Unregistered suppliers will be directed to a Supplier Registration form to be completed. (The PQQ documents and all follow up documents will be sent to the e-mail address as included on the Supplier Registration form);3) It is anticipated that any preferred bidder would be appointed in July 2012, aiming for completion in March 2014. This period would need to take into account the time required for final planning approval;
