Description
Drug treatment services in Nottingham are changing. Our aim is to reduce drug use and the harm caused by drug use to individuals, families and communities across Nottingham through the provision of a fully integrated treatment system framed around achieving sustained recovery from drug dependency.
On behalf of Nottingham City Council and NHS Nottingham City, the Nottingham Crime & Drugs Partnership is commissioning a new drug treatment system model and care pathway for Nottingham City that will maximise access to treatment, provide strong, efficient, seamless care coordination and provide personalised packages of care for each service user. An access, treatment & recovery service will be at the heart of the new treatment system providing a single point of access into treatment, high quality treatment and a recovery coordination service that works effectively with a wide range of agencies to develop and coordinate a package of care that meets each service user’s unique treatment and wider support needs.
In addition, the procurement process will also cover:
– Aftercare
– Complex prescribing
– Family support
– Needle exchange
Contracts will be for a period of 3 years and are expected to be awarded in October 2012.
