Lot No: 1 Lot title: Occupational Health & Associated Services

Carry out ‘With Cause’ Drug Testing procedures. This service will include the provision of a 24 hour ‘on call’ testing facility. (The provider must ensure that testing is carried out in laboratories accredited to do so and with sufficient rigour to withstand close legal scrutiny).
Provide and review medical questionnaires for selected job applicants in non ‘Safety Critical’ posts and, when required, carry out ‘follow up’ medical examinations.
Undertake medical examinations for selected job applicants mainly for ‘Safety Critical’ posts to appropriate standards (including drug & alcohol testing).
Periodic Safety Critical Medicals.
Medication enquiry advice.
Patterns of sickness absence.
Fitness for work.
Consideration of ill-health retirement.
Included in this requirement is the provision of written reports, including definitive prognosis, to SPT to the required timescales.
Provide general Occupational Health advice and guidance, particularly in those areas influenced by statutory obligations.
