The contract will be awarded for the duration of the current Southeastern Franchise (expiry 31.3.2014). Bidders will be required to bid on the following services required to be conducted as part of the contract, for the most competitive prices and understanding of the following services:
1) Consultations, including:
— New Entrant Medicals,
— Periodic Medicals,
— Screen for Prohibited Drugs & Alcohol (Prohibited Drugs as described in the Missue of Drugs Act 1971 (4),
— Hearing Assessments,
— ECG Tests,
— Resumption Medicals,
— Eyesight Testing,
— Special Medicals (As a result of Health Concerns),
— Review Medicals,
— General Health Screening,
— Night Worker assessments as specified in the Working Time Regulations 1998,
— Assessments in relation to a planned programme of providing hearing aids to safety critical employees.
2) Pre-placement screening:
— Screening of New Entrants,
— Review and Evaluation of Data.
3) Health surveillance:
— Reporting and providing information to Southeastern on legilslatition (Current and any amendments),
— Advisory support on Health Surveillance for employees in legislation such as; COSHH, Control of Asbestos.
Control of Lead, Noise at Work Regulations etc.
4) Advisory services:
— The Provision of an Occupational Nursing Advisor to Southeastern Railway.
5) Maintaining Medical Records.
