The GMC currently stores 33,600.15 cubic feet of material off site in over 27 000 boxes. The majority of the collection is paper based and indexed at file level and includes over 150000 indexed records managed through the GMC’s Records Management and automated requesting system. We also have a small quantity of magnetic media and x rays that require suitable conditions for storage.
Deliveries are required twice daily to an agreed timescale, approximately between 9:00 – 10:00 and 12:00 – 13:00.
We also have an occasional requirement for rush orders to be delivered within two hours of the request acknowledgement.
Collections are required every 1 – 2 days.
Other requirements include meeting the GMC’s information security requirements and adherence to relevant standards, regulations and legislation; including data protection and fire safety.
The GMC may also have a future requirement for occasional secure off-site disposal of material.
