To increase infrastructure resiliency and facilitate disaster recovery, SMG have decided to migrate a number of key systems off-site to a third party who can provide either co-located or fully managed services. This migration will be staged in a series projects over a period of 3-5 years.
The migration stages will be prioritised according to the criticality of the systems to museum operations. The first systems to be migrated will be those supporting museum communications – both internally and with the museums’ visitors. These will be:

IP based telephony system
Active Directory domain controllers to extend the existing Active Directory to any third party facilities to support the above
Wide Area Network Services
