Description of the contract

DWP is seeking to engage a consultancy organisation equipped with experts in Advocacy and Disability to research the current structures and approaches to advocacy for disabled people. In doing so, to identify gaps in advocacy provision (geographic, impairment or issue types) as well as good practice that could be replicated. DWP are seeking to address a number of policy questions: (a) What needs to be done so that disabled people can be provided with access to joined-up advocacy services. (b) The extent to which existing providers of advocacy services can/are willing to combine their services for a joined-up approach; (c) How far existing funding streams/resources can be combined. Also where appropriate the costs and efficiencies that can be derived from joining-up services.
