II.1.5)Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

Repair and maintenance services of building installations. Miscellaneous repair and maintenance services. Relocation services. LPT requires the provider to:
— Undertake furniture, equipment and packing crates moves within LPT estate between and within LPT as well as other LPT premises co-located at e.g. courts within the greater London areas,
— Removal of furniture and equipment to LPT’s storage facility or to general disposal facility,
— Carry out dismantling and reassembling of furniture and equipment where necessary,
— Carry out various associated tasks relating to moves including removal from and linking to data/voice outlets of IT equipment and telephones, removals and installation of wall mounted furniture,
— Minor repairs to furniture where possible,
— Dispose of furniture, usually in bulk,
— Dispose of confidential waste (project specific purposes only).
The following types of moves are typically required by LPT:
— Relocation of staff / departments within existing premises,
— Relocation of staff / departments to other premises,
— Office closures,
— New building relocation,
— Redecorations,
— Refurbishments.
Removal items typically include items such as furniture, filing cabinets, wall boards, sundry office contents, crates and information technology equipment.
As a result LPT requires provision of small scale to large scale office move services. Typically such services are carried out internally between LPT office but can include partner agency buildings such as courts. Such service include without limitation the following:
— IT and electrical work including disconnection and reconnection of desk-based IT equipment such as monitors, keyboards, and telephones,
— Heavy lifting,
— Complex furniture dismantling and rebuilding configurations,
— Disposal of unwanted furniture (full audit trade required),
— Moving furniture and other items to LPT’s warehouse facility for storage,
— Spares and consumables including keys, shelf supports and broken keys in locks, etc,
— Removal of files from LPT storage facilities either internal or external.
LPT also requires the provider to undertake miscellaneous repair and maintenance services. These services usually involved without limitation the following:
— Minor repairs to furniture on ad-hoc basis not associated with a project,
— Installation of wall boards,
— Fixing of shelves or other,
— Dismantling and re-assembling of furniture.
Out of scope.
The Provider will not be required to.
— Undertake full project management, space and move planning,
— Undertake Health & Safety assessments,
— Undertake risk assessments on behalf of LPT for its internal project planning,
— Resell furniture,
— Office moves and projects undertaken by AMEY, LPT’s overall facilities management provider,
— Complex and structural building maintenance and repair services,
— Storage of LPT furniture, equipment or other items on provider’s premises.
