Description of Works HEFCE’s ‘ROBO’ project comprising the office move from Northavon House to Westward & Nicholson House, including internal and external alterations and refurbishment. This will comprise the internal strip out and removal of redundant partitions and finishes, erection of internal partitioning, structural alterations, modifications to drainage, new suspended ceilings and various internal floor and wall finishes. Ancillary work includes external services and drainage adjustment works and the reconfiguration of hard surfaces and landscaping to the car parking areas to create additional bays, refuse and cycle storage areas etc. In addition the upgrade to internal services including ventilation, hot water, heating power, electrical and data installations. It is also proposed to construct a two storey glazed extension to Westward House, subject to Planning/Landlord approval. Internal Works • Strip out and enabling works; • Removal of redundant partitions, window shutters, flooring and ceiling finishes etc. • Installation of new solid / glazed office and meeting room partitioning; • Renewal of internal finishes, including flooring, suspended ceilings and decorations etc. • Construction of new Break out and kitchen facilities; • Additional toilet and sanitary facilities; • New shower & wet room facilities; • Replacement M&E installations to include electrical lighting, alarms, power and data; • Possible upgrade to the boilers and heating system, together with AHU and ventilation plant/distribution; External Works • Possible overhaul and repair of the powder coated aluminium casement windows, fascias and spandrel panels; • Improvements to create additional car parking externally; • External landscaping modifications; • Cycle storage and refuse compounds; Glazed Extension Subject to Statutory and Landlord approval For further details please review Annex 1 for full works information and Appendix A – E for drawings.
