Relocation services. Repair and maintenance services of building installations. Miscellaneous repair and maintenance services. The internal and external office removals service shall include without limitation the following:
— the planning, programming and organising of removals in liaison with the council’s representative,
— removal, unloading and repositioning of council effects within offices, between offices within individual council buildings and between council sites and the sites of other organisations within the southwest London region. The removals service includes items such as furniture, safes, filing cabinets, wall boards, sundry office contents and information technology equipment. The service also includes the disconnection and removal (but not reconnection) of desk-based IT equipment (e.g. monitors, keyboards, telephones etc.),
— the systematic removal of files from file storage systems and the re-instatement of those files into new locations,
— the transportation of unwanted materials to an authorised disposal facility and the provision of certification,
— the work associated with democratic elections including the delivery, erection, dismantling and collection of voting booths and polling station equipment, and the transportation of all materials associated with the election. The building support (handy man) service includes activity such as dismantling and re-assembling office furniture as necessary, minor repairs to furniture, assembly of flat pack furniture, installation of wall boards, etc.
